One-piece forged body and bonnet with minimal pressure boundary penetration
The seat of the E-type gate valve is fully floating. Combined with the solid flat gate, it forms a true downstream seal, resulting in extremely low operating forces. No special tools are required to replace the gate and seat while the valve is in-line.
API gate valve casting is a true two-way valve. Due to its complete symmetry, it can effectively seal pressure from either direction without the risk of pressure lock.
