Hanno Valve’s stainless steel gate valves are widely used in piping systems as shut-off devices; the gate moves in a linear, vertical motion driven by the valve stem. As a shut-off valve, the gate moves perpendicular to the direction of fluid flow; consequently, the valve is designed for fully open or fully closed operation and is not suitable for flow regulation or throttling.

This series of gate valves typically features two sealing surfaces. The most common design is the wedge-type gate, where the sealing surfaces form a wedge angle. This angle varies based on valve specifications—commonly 5°, though 2°52' may be used for lower-temperature applications. The gate can be manufactured as a solid (rigid) unit or as an elastic gate capable of slight deformation; the latter effectively compensates for angular deviations in the sealing surfaces during manufacturing, thereby improving fit and sealing reliability.

Hanno Valve’s stainless steel gate valves are categorized by material—primarily 304, 316, and 321 stainless steel—and utilize model designations such as "Z41H-16P" to facilitate engineering selection and replacement.

4. The valve stem has undergone quenching and surface nitriding treatment, exhibiting excellent corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance, and wear resistance.

5. Adopting a wedge-shaped elastic gate structure, thrust bearings are installed on the medium and large diameters, with low friction, and equipped with manual impact for easy and smooth opening and closing.
