The structure design of Gate Valves is reasonable, the opening and closing is less labor, the medium flow is not restricted, the flow is not disturbed, the pressure is not reduced, the operation is relatively easy.
Steel Gate Valves refer to gate valves manufactured from metal steel castings. They are distinct from cast iron gate valves, forged steel gate valves, and malleable cast iron gate valves. The opening and closing component is the gate plate, which moves perpendicular to the fluid direction. The gate valve is designed for fully open or fully closed service and must not be used for flow regulation or throttling.
The valve features two sealing surfaces. In conventional wedge gate valves, these surfaces form a wedge-shaped angle that varies with valve parameters—typically 5° (or 2°52' for lower medium temperatures). The gate plate of a wedge gate valve can be manufactured as a one-piece rigid plate or as an elastic plate that allows slight deformation to compensate for sealing surface angle deviations during machining. Elastic plates offer significant advantages, including lighter opening and closing, improved sealing, good memory effect of elastic components, and long service life. They are widely applicable in regulating and conveying devices for pipelines in tap water, sewage systems, construction, petroleum, chemical, food, pharmaceutical, textile, electric power, marine, metallurgy, energy systems, and more.
